IT-Compliance (Migration Audits, IDW AS 850)
IT compliance based on selected standards such as ITIL or COBIT as well as the appropriate implementation of data migrations in the IT or ERP environment (e.g. according to IDW PS 850) are of central importance for companies as well as their corporate governance. They ensure compliance with IT guidelines and standards, create transparency and minimize risks while complying with legal requirements. Project-accompanying audits during the migration of data (so-called migration audits) ensure early detection of problems and risks during data migration from the old to the new system, while standards such as ITIL and COBIT ensure the appropriate organization and structure of the IT department as well as the essential IT processes. Together, they provide a comprehensive framework for ensuring data security, ensuring compliance and supporting efficient business processes.
IT compliance measures mitigate a wide range of risks, including data loss during system migrations, unauthorized access to sensitive information, deficiencies in security controls, interruptions to business processes due to IT system failures, and potential regulatory violations. IT compliance also plays an important role in outsourced processes. The international standard ISAE 3402 (International Standard on Assurance Engagements 3402) serves as proof that a service provider properly executes outsourced processes and that these comply with the essential legal requirements. This creates certainty for the outsourcing company when working with service providers and prevents the tying up of company resources through otherwise necessary audit procedures if such proof is not available.
We support companies in maintaining their IT compliance through our diverse range of services. Through project-accompanying audits in the context of system conversions and data migrations as well as consulting in implementation projects with ITIL and COBIT reference, we ensure a comprehensive assessment and monitoring of the complex risk landscape and thus enable secure service organizations and reliable IT projects.
This promotes trust, supports sustainable business processes and provides a solid foundation for successfully implemented IT-related projects.
