BRL signs “Charter der Vielfalt” and receives certificate
Providing a respectful working environment for all employees is one of BRL’s principles. On behalf of all partners and employees of BRL, Jan Rickauer and Stefan Denkhaus, members of the BRL Partner Council, have signed the Charta der Vielfalt (Diversity Charter).
The Charta der Vielfalt e.V. association is the largest employer initiative for the promotion of diversity in companies and institutions in Germany. The centrepiece of the association is the “Diversity Charter”, which was launched jointly by companies and politicians in 2006 to recognise and include diversity in the working culture. In January 2011, the activities were transferred to an association.
The aim of the initiative is to create a prejudice-free working environment and to ensure that all employees – regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and ideology, sexual orientation and social background – are valued.
More than 5,000 organisations have signed the Diversity Charter to date. This means that the Diversity Charter represents over 15 million employees. The association is supported by 38 member organisations. The initiative is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration and Federal Government Commissioner for Anti-Racism, Reem Alabali-Radovan. Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz is patron of the Diversity Charter.
