PROMOTING EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY ON 8 MARCH

We are taking International Women’s Day 2024 as an opportunity to remind ourselves that equality and diversity is not a daily task, but a cornerstone of collaboration – 365 days a year!

Together, we at MOORE BRL strive for a diverse composition of our teams in which the members complement each other – not only in terms of gender, but in terms of all dimensions of diversity. Our common goal: equal opportunities, a diverse corporate culture and measures that support work-life balance. Despite legal equality, women still face many difficulties in their everyday lives: Family and career are often difficult to reconcile, especially for them, and management positions are still predominantly held by men. In order to promote the individual career development of our employees, we offer regular training sessions and a personalised mentoring programme.

History of Women’s Day

International Women’s Day looks back on a long history. It originated in the fight for equal rights and the right to vote for women and was first celebrated in 1911. Since then, the demands have been orientated towards the current political situation of the individual country each year. The motto for International Women’s Day 2024 on 8 March is: “Invest in women: Accelerate progress”. According to the UN, the lack of money is one of the biggest challenges in realising gender equality by 2030. More must therefore be invested in gender equality.

By the way: In December 2023, BRL signed the “Charta der Vielfalt“, the largest employer initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions in Germany.
